DAY 1
ARRIVE FRANKFURT (OFFENBACH)
Welcome to Germany and the city of Frankfurt! Later, an orientation tour of this city’s and medieval Römerplatz is followed by a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions.

DAY 2
FRANKFURT (OFFENBACH) – RHINE CRUISE – HEIDELBERG – BADEN-BADEN – BLACK FOREST (DONAUESCHINGEN)
This morning relax while a scenic drive takes you through the Rhine Valley en route to St. Goar. Embark on a Rhine cruise passing the Lorelei Rock, ancient castles and terraced vineyards. Here rejoin your coach and head to Heidelberg for a visit of the castle courtyards. Drive through Baden-Baden to see its pretty gardens and elegant casino. Finally, arrive in your hotel in the Black Forest for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 3
BLACK FOREST – RHINE FALLS – ENGELBERG (2 nights)
After breakfast, fairytale images are evoked on your drive through the Black Forest. Visit Lake Titisee and continue your journey through the Swiss border, stopping shortly thereafter to view the mighty Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen. Next it’s on to the ski resort of Engelberg.

DAY 4
LUCERNE EXCURSION
This morning drive to lakeside Lucerne where an orientation tour with your Tour Director includes a visit to the poignant Lion Monument and the medieval Old Town. Later consider taking an exciting mountain excursion or joining in the fun of a traditional Swiss folklore show before returning to the hotel.

DAY 5
ENGELBERG – INTERLAKEN – GENEVA
Fantastic scenery on the drive over the Brünig Pass brings you to the resort of Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland. Here admire the mighty Jungfrau before driving via Berne to the International city of Geneva. An orientation tour shows you the United Nations building and the Jet d’Eau fountain. Then an included walking tour takes you to the Reformation Monument in the Old Town. Tonight, why not enjoy a fondue-bourguignonne dinner accompanied by local wines in a restaurant at the foot of the Jura Mountains.

DAY 6
GENEVA – MONT BLANC – ZERMATT (2 nights)
Free time this morning to shop or take a cruise on the lake. Then continue through alpine France to view spectacular Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain. Next return to Switzerland and travel through the Rhône Valley where you ascend by electric mini-buses and taxis to your Zermatt hotel. Tonight enjoy a special fondue dinner.

DAY 7
ZERMATT AT LEISURE
Enjoy a full day in Europe’s most charming mountain resort. The streets are traffic-free and the views of the Matterhorn are stunning. Perhaps take a ride on the incredible Klein Matterhorn cable-car for fantastic scenery.

DAY 8
ZERMATT – STRESA – ST MORITZ
Today descend to Tasch to rejoin your coach for a crossing of the Simplon Pass into Italy. Stop in the pretty resort of Stresa on Lake Maggiore before driving along beautiful Lake Como. Back into Switzerland through the Engadine Valley and arrive in elegant St. Moritz.

DAY 9
ST MORITZ – INNSBRUCK
Enjoy a scenic drive to Switzerland’s Inn Valley and the Austrian frontier near Landeck. Continue through Tyrolean landscapes to Innsbruck where orientation features the Golden Roof, the ornate Wilten Basilica, the Hofburg Palace and the Olympic ski jump. Tonight enjoy an included dinner in your hotel and then perhaps consider a Tyrolean folklore show.

DAY 10
INNSBRUCK – BERCHTESGADEN – VIENNA (2 nights)
Today’s drive takes you past crumbling castles and tiny churches nestling below mountain peaks. Next into Germany and the Bavarian Alps to alpine Berchtesgaden in the beautiful National Park. From here continue your journey to the Salzkammergut and Imperial Vienna for two nights.

DAY 11
VIENNA SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour which highlights the Opera, the Hofburg, Parliament, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Imperial Boulevards. Your walking tour will take you into the oldest part of the city, ‘Am Hof’. This evening, why not dine in a lively ‘heurigen’ inn or take in a Viennese waltz concert.

VIENNA – DURNSTEIN – SALZBURG
This morning drive along the Wachau Valley where you will see Richard the Lionheart’s Castle at Dürnstein. Then continue past the monastery of Melk to the charming city of Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart and setting for the film ‘The Sound of Music’. Here your walking tour explores these locations and features the Residence Square, Cathedral and the Horse Fountain. This evening experience a ‘Be My Guest’ dinner in a local Gasthof.

DAY 13
SALZBURG – MUNICH – OBERAMMERGAU
Today travel back into Germany passing the Chiemsee Lake where King Ludwig II built a castle to rival Versailles. On arrival in Munich an orientation tour shows you the Ludwigstrasse and the Marienplatz. Later, ascend into the Bavarian Alps past picturesque wooden farmhouses and Baroque Churches to arrive in the Passion Play village of Oberammergau. Orientation here will show you the Passion Play theatre and the frescoed houses of this charming village. Tonight dinner is included at your hotel.

DAY 14
OBERAMMERGAU – ROTHENBURG – FRANKFURT (OFFENBACH)
